JOB PURPOSE
Leads Professional sourcing of Rigid Packaging for the Unilever Business Units in Europe, meeting the specified needs of the Business at most competitive commercial terms. This includes the selection and management of suppliers with the appropriate technology and capabilities to deliver goods that meet the requirements of Unilever. The role will also involve leading tenders and other productivity initiatives for the supply of injection molded components (Tubs and Lids) in Europe, meeting the specified needs of the Business at most competitive commercial terms and according to Unilever sustainable standards
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Support the development and implementation of the Rigid Packaging Procurement strategy, in line with the Global Lighthouse strategy (achieve material cost reduction targets, while maintaining supply reliability and delivery of the required innovation plan).
- Ensuring the timely negotiation of all supplier agreements including the implementation of contractual agreements.
- Represent the procurement function and ensure that other functional areas (e.g. Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain) receive reliable, timely procurement assistance.
- Lead Tenders & productivity initiatives to help achieving yearly cost targets.
- Closely and constructively team up with the Global Rigid Packaging Team, with Strategy & Insights, with Commodity Risk Management and with Market Procurement.
- Work closely with categories and suppliers to drive key Sustainability initiatives (PCR inclusion, plastic reduction, improved recyclability etc).
- Manage the supplier base across all key business dimensions: supply, resilience, agility, quality, sustainability, cost and cash.
- To ensure suppliers are paid on time and respond to payment and supplier financing queries.
- To build and manage relationships with suppliers & internal customers/stakeholders.
- Manage the quarterly price update process by checking the resin price updates and analyzing the digitized price list prior to issuing to suppliers.
- To help resolve customer, supplier or operational issues.
- To support Unilever Sustainable Living Plan in the procurement of materials and services.
- To develop, coach and mentor resources within a high performing and motivated team responsible for interfacing with internal stakeholders and suppliers

THE QUALITIES WE LOOK FOR
- University degree
- Strong experience in Procurement or Supply Management (minimum 3-5 years)
- Medium scale project management experience
- Strong track record of delivering cost savings and business value
- Packaging/FMCG experience is a plus
- International trades experience is a plus
SKILLS
- Self-Management (priority setting, risk analysis, resources)

- Be result and solution oriented; be able to solve (unexpected) problems (in short notice)
